Activities
Provide technical support for Offshore Survey teams (advice in case of malfunctions and problems with equipment, external support contacts, being a point of contact with supplier)
Fault / problem logging of offshore teams (collect and provide technical bulletins to advise the fleet on problems / solutions.
Collect and maintain current ship information (equipment inventories, inspection schedules, ship guides, etc.)
Provide project planning assistance and collaborate with Project Surveyors to define bill of materials needed for new projects.
Provide support to Base Workshop where necessary
Requirements
HBO/MBO working and thinking level with a relevant education in electronics Thorough knowledge of different interface formats and understanding of interfacing between survey an ROV Good understanding of Optic Fiber systems Good understanding of ICT networks Knowledge of EIVA survey navigation software Knowledge of digital video recording suites and use of IP video distribution Ability to create/modify schedules for cable assemblies Basic knowledge of AutoCAD Good oral and written command of the Dutch and English language Knowledge of offshore standards, such as EN, ABS, API, DNV, LIoyd’s; Relevant work experience in a similar position. Being able to work in a team as well as individually. High standards of administration and the ability to present information in a clear manner. Experience as a service engineer in the maritime world. Affinity with the nautical industry.
