Your position 

As a Design Safety Engineer you will contribute in creating safe designs for complex,

automated material handling systems. You will review system designs for safety on

mechanical, electrical and controls topics, report the hazardous/non-compliant

situations and follow up on the outcome. After realization at customer sites, mainly in

Europe, you will visit the site to verify and to ensure a validated safety solution. In this

position you will be part of a small, yet growing team of design safety engineers within

the Warehousing Solutions department. From this team you will work closely together

with various multidisciplinary project teams within our organization.  

Your main tasks are:

? Review and challenge system designs and Health Safety And Risk Analyses for customer projects;

? Visit customer sites to verify and ensure a validated safety solution

? Contribute to continuous Improvement of the safety design competence and processes;

? Secure implementation of latest updates of norms and regulations Your profile

? Successfully completed a bachelor’s education or gained work experience on this level in the field of electro technical engineering, industrial automation, controls engineering, mechatronics or machine building.

? Understanding of the machine directive and experience in the application of safety standards is a pre

? Education in machine safety like CMSE (Certified Machine Safety Expert) is a pre;

? Travel can be planned independent (+/-15%);

? You are a proactive personality with a pragmatical way of working;

? Good command of both Dutch and English.
