As a senior software engineer in the Mobile and Workstation team, you are responsible for designing, programming, testing, and maintaining the (connected) desktop applications and services for the manual handling of baggage items in the baggage handling system. These applications are operated through a combination of touchscreen and barcode/RFID scanners and are used to, for example, manually identify, screen, and store bags.

You take the lead in designing, programming and testing new features and new applications based on a system design concept and a set of requirements. Often, you will have to personally formulate these requirements together with the (end) users and/or internal stakeholders. In addition, you specifically take the lead in upgrading the team’s applications to the latest technologies and practices, such as .NET 6.0, CI/CD, and Kubernetes.
