The Position
Vanderlande is busy developing new digital services and leveraging cloud technologies on Microsoft Azure for building our new Data Platform, based on the Data Mesh concept. The Data Platform main goal is to provide services and tools to ensure that data practitioners can focus on extracting information and insights without need to deal with underlying technical complexity.
In this exciting position you will be at the heart of digital innovation and lead the operations of the Data Platform while support the development and implementation.
In your role, you will collaborate with IT and Data architects, as well as other data engineers, and you will be part of the team who is responsible to make our Data Platform truly self-service. As such, you will work closely with peers in the various business domains of Vanderlande, but also with IT specialists on managing Azure and on enhancing the Data Platform capabilities, with the goal of providing state-of-the-art automation, easy to use services and applications and zero-touch production environments.
The team
The Digitalisation department is part of Corporate IT with a mission to be an innovative and trustworthy digital service provider. The Digitalisation department is responsible for Cloud Architecture & Infrastructure, Data Platform, Date Warehouse and Data Engineering, Digital Services and the coordination and acceleration of various digital activities.
As a Data Operations Engineer you will be responsible for:
· Developing, deploying and operating solutions in Azure, to enable other Data Engineering and Data Science teams
· Supporting architects with designing, implementing and continuously improving the Data Platform
· Ensure high service quality by supporting and enhancing the Azure services provided by the team.
· Managing our Azure based resources in cooperation with the Operations and Core Systems team
· Keeping up to date with new developments on Azure
