We are looking for an Analytics Engineer for a large e-commerce organisation!

In this role you are responsible for strengthening the financial data foundation and meet growing AFM/DNB regulatory requirements. The work is part of a larger effort to modernize and standardize our financial data pipelines and reduce compliance risk.

You will join the cross-functional Finance reporting team with reporting experts, data engineers, and data analysts. About 80% of the time is spent embedded in this team building financial data models; the remaining ~20% is spent with the central Analytics Engineering team to align on standards, architecture, and best practices.

As senior Analytics Engineer you will help set up the DBT infrastructure and build the core data models needed for accurate, auditable financial licensing reporting. Your responsibilities are:

• Design and maintain DBT models for financial licensing reporting;
• Set up DBT project structure and workflows, and ensure data quality, documentation, and traceability;
• Translate regulatory requirements into scalable data models, collaborate with reporting experts and data engineers, and work with modern tools (dbt, SQL, Python, Airflow, GIT, CI/CD).

In order to succeed in the role we expect you to bring:

• Minimum of 4 years of experience in a similar position;
• Background in finance, banking or payments;
• Technically strong and fluent in finance terminology;
• Worked with modern tools (dbt, SQL, Python, Airflow, GIT, CI/CD);
• Fluent in English.

This is a temporary assignment for a period of 5 months for 32 to 40 hours per week. We offer you a contract via Independent Recruiters and a salary around € 7000 - €8000 gross per months based on 40 hours per week. Freelance is not an option.
