About the position of Senior Structural Engineer

What do we expect of you?

As a Senior Structural Engineer, you play an active role in driving project innovation and further strengthening our Engineering capabilities.

In this role, you will be responsible for:

defining and safeguarding design assumptions for complex mechanical projects;

performing FEM modelling and structural calculations for heavy (offshore) systems;

specifying requirements for purchased components;

optimising designs with a focus on material efficiency, dimensions and weight, functional lifetime and maintenance;

supervising and guiding the work of fellow structural engineers.

You have:

a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering;

5–7 years’ experience as a Senior Structural Engineer within heavy

mechanical engineering, preferably in the offshore or maritime sector;

a strong affinity with complex mechanical systems;

the ability to adapt quickly to new requirements and to prioritise effectively.

Some practical things we need you to have:

an EU passport/valid work permit for The Netherlands;

a good command of the English language verbally and in writing.
