Are you an experienced Car Mechanic or Automotive Technician looking for a new job in Rotterdam? Would you like to work in a professional automotive workshop where your technical experience matters, even if you don't speak Dutch? For this position, you can work and communicate in English.

For an automotive company in the Rotterdam region, we are looking for an experienced mechanic who enjoys working independently on maintenance, repairs, diagnostics and technical faults on passenger cars.

As a mechanic, you will work on a variety of vehicles and technical challenges. You might start your day with scheduled maintenance, continue with a brake or suspension repair and finish by diagnosing a mechanical or electrical fault. With professional tools and modern diagnostic equipment available, you have everything you need to do your job properly.

Whether your current job title is Car Mechanic, Automotive Technician, Auto Mechanic, Vehicle Technician or Motor Vehicle Technician, we are interested in your automotive experience and would be happy to discuss your opportunities in the Netherlands.

What will you do?

• Carry out maintenance and repairs on passenger cars;
  
• Diagnose and repair mechanical and electrical faults;
  
• Use professional diagnostic equipment to identify technical problems;
  
• Perform brake, suspension, engine and drivetrain repairs;
  
• Carry out technical vehicle inspections and safety checks;
  
• Perform APK inspections (Dutch periodic vehicle inspection / MOT) if you already have a valid Dutch APK certification;
  
• Work on petrol, diesel, hybrid and, depending on your experience, electric vehicles;
  
• Prepare vehicles for safe and reliable use;
  
• Check your own work and ensure a high-quality finish;
  
• Work together with other mechanics, technicians and workshop colleagues;
  
• Keep your workplace clean, organised and safe.

The workshop is modern and professionally equipped for vehicle maintenance, repairs and diagnostics. Because different makes and models come into the workshop, your work remains varied and you will regularly deal with different automotive technologies and technical problems.

You will work alongside experienced mechanics and automotive technicians in a practical workshop environment. Colleagues help each other when needed, while you also get the responsibility and freedom to carry out your own work independently.

There are opportunities to develop your technical knowledge further, including vehicle diagnostics, electrical systems, hybrid technology, electric vehicles and APK inspections.

You don't need to speak Dutch for this job. Professional automotive experience and the ability to communicate with your colleagues in English are more important.

The workplace is accessible from Rotterdam, Schiedam, Vlaardingen, Capelle aan den IJssel, Barendrecht, Ridderkerk, Delft and the surrounding Rijnmond region.

Who are you?

• You have professional experience as a Car Mechanic, Automotive Technician, Auto Mechanic or Vehicle Technician;
  
• You can independently perform vehicle maintenance and repairs;
  
• You have good mechanical knowledge and practical automotive skills;
  
• Experience with diagnostics and electrical faults is an advantage;
  
• Experience with hybrid or electric vehicles is a plus;
  
• A valid Dutch APK certification (APK-keurmeester) is an advantage, but not required;
  
• You can communicate in English;
  
• Speaking Dutch is not required;
  
• You have a valid driving licence (category B or equivalent).
