As part of our Global Communications department for AD Smartrac, you will focus on employee engagement and content creation (articles, videos, presentations) to enhance communications within the company. You will be responsible for maintaining a site and a global community by coming up with ideas to bring people together, and you will support the communication of internal projects and events. 

The different tasks you will be performing: 

• Internal Communications

  • Bringing fresh ideas to enhance the internal communications, alignment and engagement by exploring new media (such as podcasts, short videos, and visual assets)

  • Supporting and gaining experience in the full breadth of internal communication, coordinating tasks for HR, Marketing Communications, Sustainability, and DE&I

  • Updating and maintaining our intranet, OurWorld.

  • Creating and editing internal communication content.

• Project Communication Support

  • Supporting the communication of strategic internal projects (such as innovation, digital transformation, sustainability, etc.)

  • Learning how to guide change and ensure stakeholders are informed and involved in the different projects

The preferred start date is September 1, 2025. The ideal candidate is available 4-5 days a week for 6 months. The location of the position is our European Headquarters in Oegstgeest. The internship can be done remotely for up to 3 days per week.

Qualifications

What kind of candidate are we looking for?

• Someone currently following a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Communication Science, Economics, Media and Culture, Marketing, Psychology, Corporate Communication, Social Media or any related studies in a Dutch university.

• Someone tech-savvy and with good knowledge of online tooling and editing programs. Previous experience in Marketing Communications or Internal Communications is a plus. 

• Someone hands-on, organized, and eager to learn more about enhancing internal communication by digital means.

• Someone proactive, resourceful and creative to think out of the box while working in a dynamic team and different departments (HR, Marketing Communications, Sustainability)

• Someone with good communication skills who is not afraid to build a network and to speak up when dealing with different stakeholders.

• A real team player who brings humor and enthusiasm to work!
