You will be working at Cyclus in Alphen aan den Rijn or Moordrecht. Cyclus is the waste management partner for several municipalities in the central Netherlands.

The organization is constantly growing, with more municipalities joining their services. You will be part of a small, close-knit team where hard work is combined with a good sense of humor. Together, you strive for the best possible results.

Functieomschrijving

Your workday starts around 7:00 AM with a brief inspection of your vehicle. After that, you head out together with your loaders (waste collectors). You collect waste in different neighborhoods, assist residents when needed, and solve minor issues on the spot.

As a driver, you are responsible for making decisions about what is collected, maintaining safety checklists, and leading the team on the road. You ensure a safe working process, stay in contact with colleagues, and coordinate with the team leader when necessary.

You will work an average of 32 hours per week, from Monday to Saturday. If you work on Saturdays, you will receive a 140% allowance. Your workday usually ends around 4:00 PM — ideal for a healthy work-life balance.

What you bring:

• A Category C driving license with Code 95
• No Code 95 yet? You can obtain it through Olympia
• A flexible attitude and willingness to assist as a loader when needed
• A VCA certificate, or willingness to obtain one within 1 month (free of charge)
• Preferably living in the area
• Availability to occasionally work on Saturdays or evenings

• Salary between €17.14 and €21.00 gross per hour (excluding allowances)
• 140% allowance for Saturday work
• 8.33% holiday pay plus vacation accrual
