Lely is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Data Discipline Architect to join our dynamic team. As a Data Discipline Architect, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and managing our data architecture strategy. You will play a critical role in ensuring that our data systems are robust, scalable, and aligned with our business objectives. Your expertise will contribute to the optimization of our data infrastructure, enabling us to leverage data for innovative solutions in dairy farming.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design and implement data architecture solutions that support Lely's business goals and technological advancements.
• Drive the Data Product strategy.
• Develop and maintain comprehensive data models, standards, and best practices.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand data requirements and create efficient data pipelines, storages, and models.
• Work with senior data engineers to ensure correct implementation of designs, minimizing the gap between design and code.
• Ensure data integrity, security, and availability across all systems.
• Define and oversee data quality standards and improvement processes.
• Optimize data performance and recommend improvements.
• Provide technical leadership and mentorship to data engineers and team members.
• Stay updated with industry trends and emerging technologies in data and dairy farming automation, integrating them into our capabilities.

Wat is jouw ervaring?

You have a strong understanding of data architecture principles, data modeling, and database design. Problem solving and collaboration are second nature to you, and you can communicate complex technical concepts effectively to non-technical stakeholders. Additionally:

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, with proven experience as a Data Architect or similar role, preferably in automation sectors.
• Hands-on experience with cloud-based data pipelines and applications, designing and optimizing distributed storage.
• Proficiency in SQL and NoSQL technologies, preferably in Azure Cloud and Databricks.
• Experience with embedded software and data modeling; solid knowledge of data security, governance, and compliance.
• Fluent in English (verbal and written); residing in the Netherlands with a valid work permit.
