Overview

In this role, you are responsible for the strategic and tactical product management of the feeding propositions within Lely, including our automatic feeding solutions. You will develop a long-term vision and translate market and customer needs into a clear product strategy and roadmap. You proactively identify trends and technological developments and translate them into promising business cases for new products or improvements.

You manage the entire product portfolio throughout its lifecycle – from the first idea to phase-out – and actively steer on profitability, customer value, and strategic positioning. Within multidisciplinary project teams, you are the connecting link between technology, market, and operations. You provide direction to product development processes and advise the management team on strategic decisions.

Customer focus is at the heart of this role: you continuously collect feedback from the market and translate this into relevant product features or optimizations. You also play a key role in commercial activities, such as supporting sales and marketing, monitoring sales performance, and contributing to successful product launches.

• Develop a clear long-term vision and roadmap for the feeding product portfolio
• Manage the lifecycle of products/propositions: from concept development to end-of-life
• Initiate innovation projects and implement product improvements
• Actively collaborate with R&D, sales, marketing, and operations, including senior level (executive board)
• Define RRP (price lists) and safeguard overall margins through cost-price control
• Translate customer and market insights into valuable product initiatives
• Provide commercial support for positioning, training, launches, and key customer projects
• Provide functional leadership to a PM team, including coaching on content
