Specsavers – Maarssen (3605LT)
What you’ll do
At Specsavers, we’re as ambitious as you are. But we’re not only keen to find new talent – we want to nurture it, too. Providing you with the skills you need in the early stages of your career to succeed and make your dream career possible.
Our New Talent Programme enables you to see what’s possible – by providing you with a wide range of opportunities and support to take your career to the next level.
What you’ll get
As part of the New Talent Programme, you’ll complete two six-month placements in different business areas such as marketing, finance, design, or human resource, to name a few. Working in different roles, you’ll gain a deep insight into everything we do here at Specsavers. This will set you up for future success on your career path, as we’ll give you all the support you need to find your true career calling.
You’ll receive 12 months of structured development. For the first six months, you’ll be working in a specialised function in one of our country offices near you. Fridays will be dedicated to your career development, with a customised development plan and activities with your fellow programme peers from Northern Europe and the UK. We’ll decide your next role together for the remaining six months and do a host of events before you move into your permanent role in the business.
Who you are
Get to be the best you can be
Supporting our people to be the best they can be is at the heart of our values, and we see this as key to our future success. That’s why our overall goal is clear – always to treat people fairly and create an environment that respects and values differences. The fact that we have so many different nationalities, personalities, ages, and backgrounds results in our colleagues always having something to talk about and help each other with. To support our diversity and inclusion agenda, networks and communities are being established by our colleagues across Specsavers. So far, we have our PRISM network, which empowers our LBGTQA+ colleagues in our stores and support offices. We’ve also got a D&I forum with representatives from each country to make sure all colleagues feel like they belong.
We’re also very proud to be certified as a Great Place to Work for the fourth year in a row. We even beat some of our biggest competitors to it on the listings of Best Workplaces in 2019, 2020 and 2021. To find out more about our great workplace and what we can offer new talents, visit our New Talent Programme here.

Coronavirus
