About the role

As Finance Director, you will play a pivotal role in guiding the financial success of our Meat Business Unit. You are a member of the BU Leadership Team and with ultimate accountability for the P&L of the Meat BU.

In this role, you will support, develop, and execute the business unit strategy, ensuring a strong link between governance, compliance, and business support. You will provide financial insights that enable sound decision-making, drive operational excellence, and ensure sustainable growth.

Key responsibilities

• Partner with the EVP and the management team to develop and execute the business plan and strategy.
• Lead performance management of the P&L, balance sheet, and cash flow.
• Define and track Key Performance Indicators to monitor business performance.
• Oversee commercial and project control, including review and risk management.
• Set requirements from a business support and control perspective, ensuring alignment with corporate policies.
• Foster adherence to corporate governance, monitor compliance, and take corrective actions when necessary.
• Lead, develop, and inspire your team, creating a culture of excellence, teamwork, and continuous learning.
• Act as a role model for JBT Marel’s values, always prioritizing the company’s overall best interests.
• Attract and retain talent, building a highly engaged and high-performing Finance team.

Education, knowledge & experience

• Master’s degree in Accounting, Business Economics, or equivalent.
• Minimum of 10 years of experience in an international senior finance role.
• Experience in a manufacturing/production environment and in a matrix organization (preferred).
• In-depth knowledge of corporate financial laws, governance, and management best practices.
• Proven expertise in developing and implementing profitable strategies.
• Hands-on experience in finance, controlling, complex project control, forecasting, planning, and business case reviews.
• Strong English skills, both written and verbal.
• Comfortable working in a multicultural, multidisciplinary organization.
• Willingness to travel occasionally.
