As CFO, you are responsible for the policy and implementation of Finance & Operations and supporting processes within Amref Flying Doctors. You manage the employees of the teams Finance, IT, Human Resources, Quality and Office Management. We expect you to actively participate in the development, translation and implementation of the vision, mission and strategy of both Amref Flying Doctors and Amref Health Africa.

Description

Due to your financial and business expertise, you ensure that the figures of our organization remain 'in control' in the coming years. For you, to lay down complex cooperation issues with (business) partners, is a welcoming challenge. You have a good sense of when to support our African country offices with financial issues and have a critical view and ability to think along in regard to ventures and equity issues and our financing structures. You will act as a sparring partner for our Group CFO who works at our headquarters in Kenya.

You support the initiated developments of our organization and realize these in close cooperation with your colleagues from the Finance & Operations department. In 2022, your and our priority will be to develop and implement the expansion of our focus areas to Sweden, Norway, Denmark and Germany. Our goal: to mobilize more money and resources for Amref Health Africa. Under your leadership, our goals become more measurable, so that we can account for them to our headquarter. With this you make an important contribution to the 'One Amref' philosophy, in which 'Southern leadership' and 'local ownership' is leading.

As CFO you are one of our four MT members. You are therefore jointly responsible for the functioning of our entire Dutch organization. You make an important contribution to organization-wide and policy-related matters such as our strategic plan and annual plan, but also to the propagation of our culture, standards and values. You are ultimately responsible for the budget and the outlines of internal procedures and policies. Finally, you contribute to a transparent accountability of our results to the Supervisory Board and all other stakeholders.

In your role as CFO you represent Amref Flying Doctors externally (for example at Goede Doelen Nederland) within your expertise. You function as a sounding board for the CEO and a sparring partner for our Supervisory Board and in particular the audit committee. You report to the CEO of Amref Flying Doctors.
