Position Summary
The Specialist Calibration Technician is responsible to coordinate GMP calibrations for equipment and instruments. The Specialist will play a key role in the day-to-day support of the calibration program for the new Cell Therapy Facility in Leiden. This role will be part of the Reliability Engineering team which focus to operate 24/7 to serve our patients.
Key Responsibilities
Ensures that calibration service activities performed by service suppliers are executed in a continuous and accurate way, according GMP /EHS regulations.
Performs planned and unplanned calibrations and takes part in troubleshooting.
Assures that all documentation is stored in CMMS and Document Management Systems compliant to GxP regulations.
Assists in creating new calibration procedures.
Keeping Calibration equipment and tools in good condition in the Metrology storage.
Requires on-call duty and if needed overtime and weekend hours. Works on assignments where judgment is required in resolving problems.
Qualifications & Experience
Education
Requires at least a MBO level 4 diploma, technical degree preferred and/or equivalent experience in maintenance, or related technical discipline
Proficiency in reading and writing English
Experience
3-5 years of experience in an industry manufacturing environment and have experience with calibration activities.
Knowledge of instrumentation and different calibration methods.
Knowledge of cGMP’s, SOP’s, EHS and local regulatory requirements
Must be competent in working in the CMMS (Maximo) to assure execution history of planned/unplanned calibration activities and execute calibrations electronically.
Must be competent in working in Building & Process Automation Systems to support calibrations.
Self-motivated, pro-active, and able to work with minimal supervision.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English
Working Conditions
Basic lifting involved, gowning for clean/controlled areas, exposure to chemicals, access to secured areas.
