Dow Terneuzen is looking for a Hardware Engineer to provide technical support to asset owners and the inspection department. Do you have experience in material selection, failure analysis, and corrosion studies? Then this role is perfect for you!

As a Hardware Engineer, you play a crucial role in ensuring the right material choices and preventing failure mechanisms within Dow’s installations. You will conduct failure analyses, participate in root cause investigations, and support capital projects. Additionally, you will be involved in RBI corrosion studies and audits of contractor companies.

Your Responsibilities

• Conducting investigations and failure analyses for the Terneuzen facilities and documenting findings.
• Participating in root cause investigations related to equipment and fixed asset damage.
• Evaluating material selection within work scope/packages.
• Contributing to RBI corrosion studies and FMEA (Failure Mode and Effect Analysis) of pressurized equipment.
• Advising on material selection within capital projects.
• Performing audits of contractor companies.

Functieeisen
We are looking for an experienced professional with:

• A technical HBO degree (preferably with an International Welding Diploma).
• VCA VOL certificate (mandatory).
• At least 10 years of work experience, including 3 to 5 years in a specialized field.
• Excellent command of the English language.
• Dutch language skills are a plus.
• A team player who thrives in a technical environment.
