Job description

Our client is a scale up in the area of Harderwijk with funds & strategy in place to continue growing both organically and inorganically. As part of this journey, we are currently looking for someone to insource the financial processes and to establish a formal finance function for the company. This position ensures the accurate and timely reporting and analysis of financial performance to internal and external stakeholders, while partnering with the Managing Director and Board to drive strategic growth and profitability initiatives.

Tasks & responsibilities:

Establish the Finance function and determine the appropriate systems, processes and resources required for the business to support its current performance and future growth

As part of the local management team, support strategy development, growth and profitability through the provision of relevant financial analysis and modelling

Close financial ledgers, complete balance sheet reconciliations and ensure GAAP/IFRS compliance for monthly results.

Prepare financial reports and annual accounts for internal and external stakeholders, e.g. lenders, including any covenant reporting

Provide financial analysis and KPIs for monthly financial results to explain performance drivers and identify any remedial operational actions

Lead contact for local auditors and bank, including responding to any data requests

Preparation of budgets, forecasts and investment plans in line with the strategic goals of the company

Preparation of 13-week cash flow forecasts, cash management and responsibility for payables, receivables collections and payroll activities

Support M&A financial activities

Tax reporting and compliance

Your profile:

Qualified Finance Professional

Strong command of Dutch and English written and verbal communication

Proven track record in finance leadership roles in small or mid-size service companies, with experience in Board or investor environment an advantage.

Demonstrable experience across all aspects of Finance desirable - accounting/control, financial planning and analysis, reporting, treasury and tax

Ability to work professionally and effectively with internal and external stakeholders

Good grasp of IFRS and Dutch GAAP and reporting requirements

Experience of scaling a business and knowledge of financial system and process best practices required to do so

Strong financial analytical and modelling skills

Experience with financial systems and controls
