Are you a Chemical Engineer with an eye for environmental matters? AnQore is looking for a Sustainability Engineer to strengthen our R&D and Technology unit in Geleen, The Netherlands. As a Sustainability Engineer you will be responsible for the plant performance with regards to sustainability.
The position
We are looking for a candidate who is able to monitor integral environmental aspects and provides technological knowledge to monitor, analyze and improve environmental and sustainability aspects of our processes.
In this role, you are expected to make expert contributions to technology projects by drawing up a plan for the defined area of expertise, searching for the right input(s), monitoring the installation data, carrying out technological activities as defined in the project plan and by identifying (potential) bottlenecks.
You are also responsible for troubleshooting, monitoring the performance of the installation and you are expected to give feedback on your findings. Further, you will participate in safety studies. You need to manage short-term and medium-term goals.
As a Sustainability Engineer you will be part of multidisciplinary teams (e.g. operations, maintenance, R&D, SHEQ, business).

The AnQore R&D and Technology team supports the plants with chemical and technologic knowledge to ensure continuous improvement by optimization of existing processes and proposing new technologies and projects.
Qualifications
- A commitment to work safely and ethically
- Bachelor or Master’s degree in Chemical Technology
- 0 - 5 years of work experience in a technological and/or R&D environment
- Good communication, analytical and problem solving skills
- Ability to work in a structured manner and to think ahead
