What Will You Do As A Technical DFM Engineer

As a Technical DFM Engineer, you take ownership of the Design for Manufacturing phase for new product introductions. You make sure innovative product concepts can move smoothly from R&D into production, with the right focus on manufacturability, assembly, quality and durability.

Leading the DFM planning process and defining production, quality and product requirements

Designing products with a strong focus on ease of assembly, manufacturability and scalability

Supporting the transfer of new product concepts from R&D to production

Working closely with design engineering, embedded engineering, quality control, operations and external manufacturing partners

Supporting planning, mold quality and First Article Testing / First Off Tool testing

Creating and maintaining FMEA documentation

Reviewing design choices for mechanical robustness, scalability and manufacturability

Defining test criteria and writing clear test protocols

Implementing quality procedures and supporting their execution

Identifying risks and improvement opportunities to improve product durability and production quality

Do You Recognize Yourself In This

You have a university-level education in Industrial Design, Mechanical Engineering or a related field

You have at least 3 years of relevant experience in product development or manufacturing engineering

You have strong experience with SolidWorks

You have affinity with 3D printing and modern manufacturing techniques

You have experience with force analysis and mechanical simulations

Experience with wearable electronics is a strong plus

You enjoy validating mechanical performance through real-life testing and measurement

You are hands-on, structured and able to connect engineering decisions with production reality
