Overview

As an HSE Specialist at Enza Zaden, you will play a vital role in ensuring a safe, healthy, and environmentally responsible workplace across our operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Execute and coordinate risk assessments (RI&E) and translate them into actionable HSE plans.
• Investigate incidents and near misses and ensure follow‑up improvements are implemented.
• Monitor compliance with legislation, permits, and internal policies through audits and inspections.
• Advise management and staff on HSE performance and developments.
• Organise HSE training and awareness campaigns across the organization.
• Translate new laws and regulations into practical applications for Enza Zaden.
• Co‑ordinate emergency response and crisis management procedures.
• Report to the HSE Manager and work closely with local management, safety coaches, and external experts.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree (HBO) and a minimum of 3 years of relevant HSE experience, preferably in an industrial environment.
• Preferably a High Safety Specialist (HVK) certificate or willingness to obtain one.
• Strong knowledge of HSE legislation and Health & Safety Management Systems.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Proficiency in both Dutch and English, written and spoken.
• Proactive, persuasive attitude and the ability to coach and motivate others.
