Job description

Our client is a leading high-tech contract manufacturer based in Eindhoven, Netherlands, specialising in the design and production of complex mechatronic systems and modules for the semiconductor, medical, and analytical instrumentation industries. Operating at the cutting edge of precision engineering with production facilities across Europe and Asia, they supply some of the world's most advanced original equipment manufacturers. We are recruiting a Test Engineer to join their cleanroom operations on a permanent basis.

Duties & Responsibilities
  • Qualify complex, high-tech mechatronic systems and modules according to defined test protocols within a cleanroom environment
  • Perform connection, adjustment, calibration, and endurance testing of equipment prior to customer delivery
  • Conduct visual inspections to verify the quality of previous assembly and integration steps
  • Analyse test results, identify deviations, and prepare and implement corrective actions
  • Take ownership of final product quality — you are the last checkpoint before machines ship to the customer
  • Contribute to continuous improvement by identifying recurring issues from earlier production stages and participating in structural improvement initiatives
  • Work in a 2-shift rotation or day shift pattern
  • Maintain accurate test documentation and reporting
  • Approximately 80% of your time will be spent on testing modules, with 20% on hands-on tinkering and adjustments
Experience & Qualifications
  • Diploma or degree in Mechatronics, Mechanical Engineering, Automation, or a related technical field
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Meticulous, detail-oriented approach with the ability to work strictly according to protocol
  • Experience with calibration, testing, or quality assurance in a manufacturing or high-tech environment is advantageous
  • Familiarity with PC-based tools and test software
  • A proactive, service-oriented mindset with the ability to work effectively in a team
  • Commitment to continuous learning — willingness to undertake further training and certification
  • Fluent in English and Afrikaans (written and spoken)
  • Willingness to relocate to the Netherlands (relocation support provided)
