As a Model-Based Systems Engineer, you will support different R&D projects by translating complex system requirements and architectures into structured and traceable models. You will work closely with Systems Engineers, architects and specialists from various engineering disciplines.
Your responsibilities include:
Developing and maintaining system and subsystem models using SysML;
Applying established MBSE methodologies throughout different phases of product development;
Modeling system structure, behavior, requirements and parametric relationships;
Ensuring consistency and traceability between requirements, architecture, design decisions and system models;
Supporting activities related to requirements engineering, risk management and design control;
Working hands-on with MBSE tools such as Cameo / MagicDraw;
Monitoring and improving model quality through validation, conventions and model reviews;
Applying existing MetaModel and DataModel definitions within projects;
Working with profiles, validation rules and structured expressions to support effective modeling;
Collaborating with senior Systems Engineers and architects on complex system challenges;
Sharing MBSE knowledge, standards and best practices with engineering teams;
Supporting the continuous improvement of MBSE methods, templates and guidelines. You will join a specialized MBSE competence team consisting of experienced professionals who support technical projects across the organization. The projects cover different stages of the product lifecycle, from early development and industrialization to deployment, operation and maintenance.
Over jou
4-7 years of experience in an R&D or product development environment;
A BSc or MSc in Systems Engineering, Software Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or a comparable technical discipline;
A strong foundation in Systems Engineering principles and methodologies;
Practical experience with Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE);
Hands-on experience with Cameo / MagicDraw or similar MBSE tooling;
Good working knowledge of SysML and experience modeling requirements, structure and system behavior;
Experience with requirements engineering, risk management and design control;
Understanding of model traceability, validation and quality principles;
Familiarity with MetaModels, DataModels, profiles and validation rules;
Experience with medical devices or healthcare technology
Professional fluency in English;
