Job description

**Please note an EU passport is needed to apply for this role**One of Europe’s leading specialist contractors that operates in the data centre and life sciences sector and self-delivers CSA packages for some of the industries leading general contractors, is actively seeking a diligent and competent Assistant Quantity Surveyor for a brand new project in Eemshaven. The project in question is a hyperscale data centre with a complex CSA package. The general contractor is a market leader and the client is a globally renowned operator.The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of managing large scale civils projects on time and within budget. Data centre experience is not essential but of course desirable. The data centre sector is the fastest growing sector in construction at present, there is no better time to be getting into the sector. This coupled with the increased emphasis that this client has put on their data centre division, makes an excellent opportunity for an ambitious Assistant QS to fast track their career to project management level.Responsibilities:Assisting in the preparation of detailed cost plans, estimates, and budgets across all project stagesSupporting procurement and tendering processes, including subcontractor package managementMonitoring and controlling project costs to ensure financial targets are metEvaluating and agreeing on valuations, variations, and final accounts with subcontractorsProviding commercial support and advice to project and site teamsLiaising effectively with clients, consultants, and stakeholdersEnsuring compliance with contractual obligations and relevant statutory regulationsCollaborating with the Project Manager to identify, forecast, and report cost risksRequirements:To be successful in this role, you should have:A degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Economics, or a related disciplineA minimum of 4 years’ post-graduate experience, ideally with a main contractorExperience working on data centres or mission-critical projects (highly desirable)Strong understanding of construction contracts and commercial management practicesExcellent negotiation, analytical, and communication skillsEU citizenship or the legal right to work in Germany (mandatory)If you would like to apply for this role, please forward a copy of your CV using the email link provided
