At Machining Logistics, we’re now looking for a Global Trade Compliance Advisor to reinforce our senior capability within Trade Compliance. What are you waiting for? Apply today!

Your mission

In this position, you will act as a Trade Compliance expert, playing a key role in ensuring compliance, continuity, and capability within the organization.

In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring compliance with international trade regulations, export controls, and customs requirements across multiple jurisdictions. You will act as a trusted advisor and subject matter expert to stakeholders, supporting business operations while mitigating regulatory risks and ensuring consistent decision-making.

A key focus of this role is to provide continuity of expertise, support the transition of responsibilities within the Trade Compliance team, and contribute to the further development of a scalable and robust operating model.

In this position, you report directly to the Head of Trade Compliance. The location is flexible between ADC or EDC. As part of a global business, effective collaboration across regions and time zones is a natural element of the role.

Your responsibilities

  • Ensure compliance with global trade regulations (EAR, ITAR, EU Dual‑Use, Sanction control) and monitor regulatory changes and their business impact
  • Advise stakeholders on compliance requirements, licensing obligations, and regulatory interpretation
  • Classify products (HS / ECCN) and manage export license applications and authorizations
  • Develop and maintain compliance policies and procedures, and support internal audits and external reviews
  • Act as a senior subject matter expert for complex Trade Compliance topics and escalations
  • Drive process improvement and Trade Compliance maturity initiatives
  • Contribute to defining the operating model and governance (e.g. RACI) between Trade Compliance and Operations
  • Support capability building through training, mentoring, and knowledge transfer
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams (Legal, Supply Chain, Engineering, Operations)
  • Contribute to digitalization and automation initiatives to improve efficiency and data quality
  • Your profile

    We’re looking for someone with:

  • A bachelor’s degree in International Trade, Law, Logistics, or a related field
  • 5+ years of experience in Trade Compliance, export controls, customs, or a related area
  • Strong knowledge of global trade regulations
  • Experience with classification, sanctions screening, and licensing
  • Excellent analytical and communication skills
  • Proven ability to handle complex topics and stakeholder interactions in a global environment
  • A collaborative mindset and the ability to influence stakeholders across functions and regions
  • A strong interest in digital tools, automation, and data‑driven ways of working
  • Preferred

  • Relevant certifications (e.g. CCS, CES)
  • Experience in manufacturing, engineering, or technology sectors
  • Experience with digital tools and systems (e.g. SAP GTS or comparable)
  • Our culture
