• Manages statistical forecast model, generates rolling demand forecasts and is accountable for same
• Obtains essential input from sales, selected customers and other sources as appropriate (e.g. VMI)
• Drives the Demand Review Meetings with Global/Regional Sales Managers to validate the overall quality and obtain approval of the proposed demand plan
• Participate in the Business Review Meetings to understand business strategy and mid-long terms plan
• Communicates with relevant groups about special circumstances or other business issues which could impact on the accuracy of the forecast
• Is accountable for the preparation of the proposed Demand plan within designated deadlines
• Communicates Demand issues; advises on trade-offs and manages these
• Compares Demand Plan to Business Plan and reconciles/adjusts the Demand Plan as required
• Communicates demand aspects of agreed sales plan to all appropriate demand-related parties efficiently and in good time
• Transfers Demand Plan ownership to Marketing, documents issues relating to the demand plan 
• Measures the realization of the previous agreed sales plan and defines corrective actions
• Provides the Demand related inputs to the Pre-S&OP and/or S&OP meetings.
• Establishes and coordinates the execution of allocation plans in case of product shortage
• Supports business management in establishing yearly sales budgets
• Responsible for the Forecasting related master data in either SAP and/or OMP.

Demand Planning Improvement

• Work with sales, business and supply chain teams to improve forecast accuracy
• Identify areas of improvement and recommend/ implement actions 
• Define and maintain global policies for demand planning
• Define main global KPI’s for demand planning, takes care of proper management reporting of these KPI’s
• Ensures best practices identification and development
• Ensures best practices implemented in DFS
• Ensures best practices maintained, documented, training available
• Coordinates support and cooperation between Demand Planners
• Ensures backup between Demand Planners
