Job description

Job description
Yacht Life Sciences has a vacancy for a Principal Research Associate, Functional Charaterization & Bioassays at an international biotechnological company, situated in Utrecht, the Netherlands. Our client is focused on the creation and development of innovative and differentiated antibody products, with the aim of improving the lives of cancer patients.
As our new Principal Research Associate, you will be a pivotal player in nurturing the growing ambitions of the company. You would be responsible for supporting characterization studies for state-of-the-art antibody therapeutics across the company’s global organization and working together with your team to develop bioactivity assays which are used by internal and external parties. If this sounds what you are looking for, then the current opportunity might be the perfect job for you!

Your responsibilities
Demonstrating quality and characteristics of the antibody products of this company, being responsible for the coordination and performance of bioassay development and validation activities, collaborating with Contract Research Organizations (CRO’s) and Contract Manufacturing Organizations (CMO’s), as well as providing internal support for late-stage development projects, these are some of the tasks of being a Principal Research Associate. The company is currently in a growing phase with a ‘knock your socks off’ pipeline of new antibody products. That is where you come in and help them realize their growth ambitions.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Work in a team of scientists and research associates dedicated to developing and qualifying assays for batch release and characterization of late-stage clinical candidates.
  • Efficiently organize the execution of characterization plans and ensure adherence to guidelines in accordance with strict timelines.
  • Coordinate and support functional characterization activities and ensure correct execution and documentation done by other Research Associates.
  • Support assay development, optimization and/or qualification.
  • Write and review study plans and reports.
  • Set high quality standards and take initiatives to improve the team's and your own work.
  • Documenting and processing test results, drawing conclusions, and reporting these to the team.
  • Support troubleshooting activities of validated assays at CMO/CROs.
