To further strengthen Marel’s Poultry service organization, we are looking forward to meet you as our new  Technical Support Specialist.

In this role you provide technical support and expertise to customers, our regional Technical Support teams and Field Service teams. You will be the reference for all technical/technological questions in your field of expertise (Controls Systems). You will build and maintain relations/connections with specialists and in- and external stakeholders. 

You will ensure that cases are handled in a timely manner and are able to fulfil and manage our customer’s expectations. You ensure a clear and accurate exchange of technical information between commercial and technical departments.
 

Main tasks and responsibilities

Solves cases online/remotely and/or decides on follow-up actions in a timely manner, according to the escalation process. 

Advices and informs internal stakeholders on technical solutions and case status. 

Ensures that field service engineers’ debriefings are processed, and Customer Support is informed on follow up actions. 

Updates and/or registers machine information in Installed Base Management system. 

Identifies technical improvements which can be used for potential commercial opportunities. 

Is responsible for creating and maintaining service documentation (Service Info, Service Letter and Service Notice). 

Monitors, evaluates and coordinates reported technical feedback. 

Identifies structural issues from reported technical feedback. 

Be the central point for supporting the knowledge build up in the regions and the industry/product group. 

Identifies need for technical and technological knowledge within regions (technical support engineers). 

Proactively shares knowledge with regions (technical support engineers). 

Provides input to the Marel Academy for trainings and training material.

What kind of a person are you?

Bachelor work and thinking level. An educational Bachelor Degree is not required

Educational background in Mechatronics, Electrical- or Software engineering or matching working experience

Excellent written and spoken English, Dutch preferred

Strong technical background on high-level food processing equipment required.

Excellent communicator with analytical skill and the ability to work under pressure

Experience in field service or technical support is preferred. Experience in the food industry is an advantage
