ASMPT is the world’s largest assembly and packaging equipment supplier and the world’s third largest SMT equipment supplier. ASMPT ALSI designs, builds, and sells machines with proprietary multi-beam laser cutting technology and processes for dicing semiconductor wafers and grooving low-K wafers. Tasks and responsibilities

As a Test Automation Engineer you are responsible for the final testing of the Laser Separation system. You will work with the Innovation team and will edit, develop, execute and report the verification and validation tests at system level. It concerns the test execution for new software and hardware functionality en regression tests. The tests will need to be prepared and executed in close collaboration with the colleagues of the Software, the Innovation, Application & Process development and Service groups. Ultimate goal will be to automatically verifty all functionality already present in the system. With this in place, focus can be fully on testing new functionality and to add into the automated test environment.

Desired skills and experience

Profound knowledge of design and verification of control system software and other real time embedded software.

Relevant experience in design and architecture of software test frame works in order to execute automatic testing.

Experience with test frame works.

Experience with Agile project management.

Relevant experience in Industrial machine control.

Profound knowledge of object-oriented design, software design methods (UML).

Experience with the full software life cycle – requirements capturing, design, implementation, test & integration, sustaining.

In depth C++ and Python knowledge.

Creative out-of-the box thinker, strong analytical mindset AND Pragmatic and hands-on mentality.

Good social, communication, and presentations skills for bridging the gap to the different disciplines.

Fluent in written and spoken English and Dutch.

Job requirements

A completed HBO/WO education in the direction of Informatics or related fields.

Juniors (recent graduates or 1-2 years work experience) and medior candidates (3-5 years work experience) are welcome.

Knowledge/experience with test automation and script languages as Python.

Project and results oriented, team player.

Excellent communication skills, verbal as wel as written.

Accurate, independent, flexible, able to work under pressure, enterprising.

Focus on automatic testing during nightly builds to prevent (too much) manual labour at the machine.
