Service Education Content Developer




PURPOSE OF THE ROLE:

As Service Education Content Developer in the new business venture FORS, you have an important role and can disrupt MedTech and make a real difference for patients.

The proposition is new to the world and a crucial step in our Image Guided Therapy (IGT) purpose of treating patients better by innovating minimally invasive procedures. It will give you the chance to join our great journey in disrupting the current status quo within IGT.

The customer-centric, fast-learning and agile FORS venture team values drive, creativity and fast decision making in an integral business context.


Working with Instructional Designers, the Service Education Content Developer will create the design blueprint and develop and maintain education content in any format. This person will work independently and with subject matter experts and other team members to develop materials, exercises and training scenarios as well as perform assessment of education materials. These materials will be grounded in sound educational best practices in adult learning theory. This person will demonstrate and use effective analysis, project management, and course development and evaluation skills in order to deliver high quality education products.


Education activities includes analysis of the role / task models for Service delivery currently implemented in the Markets, evaluation of gaps in competency / service product training delivery, interface with BIU Service Innovation, Application and R&D regarding product improvement and service information, intermediary between CS Education and venture FORS.


ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

Course Development

• Works closely with specific business units, drives the development of instructionally sound, high quality educational materials in the instruction of our employees and customers in technical service of our products.

• Performs a role-task analysis and determining the desired competencies for each target group in order to develop the most optimal courses to ensure that competencies and business impact are in balance.

• Design blended learning and didactical effective certified learning paths.

• Develops course materials for various delivery methods (e.g. instructor-led, eLearning, web-based, etc.)

• Establishes processes with developers that ensures an efficient workflow, a quality output, and minimizes the rework of materials

• Maintains existing courses, ensuring revisions and improvements based on new product releases and recommendation of the instructors and students

• Creates assessment questions and test items for certification exams

• Moves education from product-focused to role-based and workflow-based curriculum

• Gain field experiences to get a realistic view of the products and student environment to develop and deliver training more appropriately.

• Adhere to the QMS policy and processes for Education to enable a standardized course development and delivery.


Course Delivery

• Arrange systems, materials and classrooms to ensure that the Train the Trainer sessions and courses can be delivered in the most optimum conditions (classrooms, systems and lab environment).

• Coaching the students in all learning environments in order to present the learning content in the most active and efficient way for the student to study.

• Ensuring that the departmental and PMS safety regulations are followed in order to guarantee the safety of the students and others.

• Evaluating the courses and assessing the students to get feedback with which to improve course quality and service information to the targets as set by the team manager.

• Delivering local courses on location in the field or other Academy locations (Best, Singapore, Cleveland).

• Deliver train the trainer session to peer trainer coaches.


You will be part of:

Service Education team of the Image Guided Therapy (IGT) Systems Business Unit within Philips Healthcare.

Image Guided Therapy is one of the four Philips business clusters, focused on diagnostics and therapy in the cardio-vascular domain, spanning the imaging guidance systems business and the therapy delivery business.

The overall strategy of IGT is to create an integrated clinical solution business that supports customers throughout the entire minimally invasive procedure and beyond.

Within these ventures, the entrepreneurial, multidisciplinary FORS team acts as a start-up in the large corporation. Its main goal is to build new businesses and acquire new skills whilst leveraging the competencies of the broader Philips organization.

You will report to the IGT Service Education Manager and are functionally guided by Instructional Designer, peer education content developers and service innovation. The FORS venture is based in Best (Netherlands) and operates globally.


The IGT Education organization consists of 20 people globally, organized around the systems and devices that we develop (Fixed systems, Mobile systems, Interventional Hemodynamics, Devices, Solutions and Ventures).
