VP Finance & Control

Finance is the cockpit of the organization that brings visibility to the business and participates in strategic decision making by reliable data-driven input. As our VP Finance & Control you will carry the finance strategy and plan execution of deliverables. Your primary objective is to build solid financial processes that embrace our fast-growing company and make them fit for scaling. You are in lead of smoothly running day-to-day operations and managing the accounting & control team members (2-4fte). You and the team will make sure that all financial data is reliable and provide management information to track performance.

On top of the daily operations, we will migrate to a new ERP system and run through a qualified audit opinion for the first audit year of 2022. You will also continuously provide feedback to our product team to improve our platform at processing financial transactions and automate billing processes.

Responsibilities

• Lead the accounting and control team in delivering daily financial operations.
• Report accurately and timely on a monthly basis (Budget versus actuals & KPI’s) and compilation of the financial statements.
• Build and maintain a control framework.
• Manage the external audit process.
• Coach your team to develop a group of high performing members.
• Challenge and build bridges with the business by providing financial insights into decision making.
• Drive financial improvement projects.
• Direct sparring partner of the CFO into providing strategic visibility.

Qualifications

• You are thrilled to make an impact during the scaling-phase of an organization.
• Master’s Degree accompanied by RA or RC.
• 5y+ experience in areas of finance, accounting and/or controlling.
• Experience with SaaS/Fintech-companies/high growth environment preferred.
• Experience with external audits from the audited company perspective.
• Strong financial and business acumen, next to controlling and planning skills.
• Demonstrated ability in building out and leading high performing teams.
• A proactive challenger who is energized by problem solving.
• Experience in working closely with product teams.
• Extensive communication and presentation skills accompanied by excellent written and verbal communication in both Dutch and English.
