Support the continuous enhancement of the Operational Risk and Data Risk frameworks, methodologies, and governance practices.Facilitate and challenge Operational Risk and Change Risk Assessments performed by the business to ensure risks are appropriately identified, assessed, and managed.Perform quality reviews of key Operational Risk Management instruments, including RCSA, control monitoring & testing, incident management, issue management, and scenario analysis.Assess the quality and effectiveness of risk management activities, controls, and remediation actions, providing independent challenge and recommendations for improvement.Prepare and present risk insights, thematic analyses, and quality review outcomes to stakeholders and governance committees, fostering consistency and continuous improvement across regions..

Aligned with the ABN AMRO Three Lines of Defence model, the Operational Risk Management (ORM) function within Clearing acts as the second line of defence. This function is responsible for identifying, assessing, mitigating, and monitoring operational risks that could affect the continuity, reliability, and security of clearing activities. Operating globally, ORM ensures consistent risk oversight and the implementation of robust control frameworks across all regions.
The team has a strong international footprint, with key hubs in Europe (Amsterdam, London), the United States (Chicago), and Asia-Pacific (Sydney, Singapore, Tokyo). This global presence enables effective regional support combined with strong central governance.

You are an engaged risk professional who combines analytical strength with a pragmatic and collaborative approach.
Academic working and thinking levelApproximately 4–7 years of experience in Operational Risk Management, Enterprise Risk Management, Internal Control, Audit, Compliance, or a related fieldExperience with Data Risk, Data Governance, Data Management, or related risk domainsGood understanding of operational risk frameworks, methodologies, and governance structuresHands-on experience with ORM instruments such as RCSA, incident management, issue management, scenario analysis, risk appetite monitoring, and risk reportingStrong analytical and problem-solving skillsAbility to challenge stakeholders constructively and build effective working relationshipsExperience working in a regulated environment; financial services experience is preferredExperience in clearing, capital markets, or financial market infrastructure is a plusAffinity with technology, automation, and AI-related developments is considered an advantageWe are offering
