About the role
As a Paralegal at APG, you will be a key player in influencing the success of our group legal support team. Utilising your expertise in legal matters, you will contribute to the seamless and efficient delivery of products that capture our customers memories and joy. Working closely within a collaborative cross-functional team environment, your responsibilities will include handling legal documentation, ensuring compliance with e-commerce regulations, and providing valuable support in legal matters related to our business operations.
Primary Responsibilities
Company Secretarial
Prepare legal documentation including resolutions, notices, powers of attorney etc. Lead on corporate housekeeping by coordinating that documents are duly signed, apostilled and notarized in a timely manner Manage legal documentation when changes are required such as director changes, company name changes, other official filings
General Administrative Support
Creating and maintaining a case management system and completing and keeping the Google Shared Drive up to date Maintain the Legal Team’s page on the Intranet, including links to templates, guidelines, do's & dont's; and actualize current content in alignment with legal counsel Actively track deadlines, deliverables and managing external stakeholders law firms, KYC requests etc. Ensure further professionalism of the department by implementing and optimizing tools, documents and processes
HR Support
Handle and triage complex employment contract queries that have been escalated from HR for support Support with employment related disputes and litigation
Compliance and Training
Actively monitor changes in laws across Europe and regulations affecting APG. Support with implementation and deliver of training of the Code of Conduct and various governance policies, incl. the Whistleblower policy
Intellectual Property
Assist with review and management of trademark and domain name portfolios
Training
Create advanced training materials and comprehensive legal guidelines tailored for senior business executives, collaborating closely with legal counsel to ensure accuracy and relevance
Contract Management and Contract Review
Be a key project member of the implementation and oversight of an advanced contract management system, as well as other sophisticated legal and compliance tools, to enhance efficiency and effectiveness. Take a leadership role in the meticulous review of contracts, managing the compilation of comments, and coordinating with senior-level stakeholders such as procurement and executive teams.
Litigation Support
Prove high-level assistance in document management and administrative tasks related to commercial and HR litigation. Coordinate with external counsel and senior internal stakeholders to ensure seamless collaboration.
Legal Research and Analysis
Conduct in-depth legal research on pertinent statutes, regulations, and case law, providing comprehensive summaries and analyses of legal information to guide strategic decision-making processes for senior leadership.
Experience and Attributes we'd like to see:
Certification or associate’s degree in law (bachelor’s degree is preferred) Competent using technology Experience in preparing and reviewing legal documents “Can do” and “hands on” mentality Team player Strong organizational and communication skills Fluency in English
Nice to Have Experience:
Proficiency in Dutch (and any other European language) is a plus
