Tasks and responsibilities of the IFRS Reporting Specialist in Amstelveen

As an IFRS Reporting Specialist in Amstelveen, your responsibilities will include:

• Preparing the semi-annual and annual group reporting package under IFRS;
• Preparing the semi-annual and annual IFRS consolidation;
• Performing IFRS assessments of complex accounting transactions in partnership with the IFRS team;
• Assisting with special projects, including M&A projects, SAP implementation, special audits, and special purpose reporting;
• Identifying, documenting, and implementing best practices in the financial close and reporting process;
• Preparing documentation related to internal audit and external audit processes, including group reporting packages and IFRS financial statements of the entity;
• Collecting and organizing periodic financial data received from subsidiaries;
• Supporting the preparation of consolidation schedules and updating reporting files;
• Reviewing submissions for completeness and accuracy prior to consolidation;
• Performing analytical reviews and identifying significant variances.

Your profile

For the position of IFRS Reporting Specialist in Amstelveen, we are looking for someone with the following background:

• Available full-time onsite;
• BSc or MSc degree in Accounting, Finance, or Economics;
• Additional certification is an asset;
• A minimum of 3 years of experience in IFRS Reporting;
• Audit experience, preferably gained within a Big4 environment or international companies in a consolidation or accounting & reporting department;
• Strong and up-to-date IFRS knowledge;
• Basic knowledge of accounting systems; experience with SAP and Hyperion is a plus;
• Strong interpersonal skills;
• Ability to work under tight deadlines;
• Good knowledge of Microsoft Office, especially Excel and PowerPoint;
• Very strong analytical and communication skills;
• Fluent in English and Portuguese; Dutch or Spanish is a plus.

• Salary indication of €65,000 to €80,000 gross per year based on 40 hours, depending on experience and educational background;
