Job description

Location: North America

Position available: Immediately

Under the responsibility of the Director of Finance, the candidate will play a key role within certain divisions of Polycor Group. We’re looking for someone who oversees accounting operations, and transaction processing operations of the subsidiaries under his responsibility. knows the ins and outs of accounting in the manufacturing sector. Polycor is an international company in which the candidate will be able to develop her full potential.

Principal Duties & Responsibilities

  • Month end variances analysis against budget.
  • Monthly conciliation for balance sheet accounts.
  • Maintain proper capital assets depreciation schedules.
  • Monitor the accruals that need to be taken monthly.
  • Reconcile the raw material purchases against the invoices and inventory values.
  • Roll forward the financial statements and issue an initial draft.
  • Prepare the adjusting entries related to the inventory movements.
  • Prepare the payment lists for the accounting clerks.
  • Monitor the invoicing that is processed by the team.
  • Monitor and reconcile the inventory counts of various sites.
  • Prepare the various reports for the head office.
  • Prepare the payroll adjusting entries.
  • Prepare the various sales tax reports.
  • Assist with the training of the accounting clerks.
  • Ensure strong internal controls.
  • Participate to the budgeting process.

As Assistant Controller, you will play a key role in maintaining financial integrity and ensuring operational efficiency. Requirements

  • Bachelor of Business Administration Majoring in Accounting.
  • Minimum of 3 to 5 years of relevant experience.
  • Accountant’s title CPA.
  • Appropriate knowledge of International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS), an asset.
  • Advanced Excel.
  • Available to travel 20% of the time.
