We are a project-oriented management company outsourcing the main yacht building packages to our strategic co-makers. As Project Manager Engineering, you are part of one of our inspiring project teams that realise our yachts. You report directly to the Project Director.
What will your challenges be?
Oversee technical project management across the full lifecycle (engineering, production, commissioning, delivery), ensuring compliance with specifications, Classification Society standards, Flag State requirements and internal protocolsOwn planning, coordination and delivery of engineering documentation, ensuring timely availability for all stakeholdersAct as primary contact for owners, subcontractor and regulators, managing expectations, scope, quality and performance in a high-complexity environmentLead multidisciplinary engineering teams and external partners, set priorities, align efforts and make decisive trade-offsIdentify, assess and mitigate technical, planning and contractual risks while balancing time, cost and qualityMonitor project progress and performance, analyse deviations and drive corrective actions with the Project Core TeamReport clearly on engineering progress, risks and performance to senior managementSupport production, commissioning and warranty phases by ensuring complete and accurate engineering deliverables, including as-built documentationLead, inspire and develop the Engineering team, promoting ownership, accountability and continuous improvementWhat do we ask for?
Fluent in English; Dutch proficiency is a strong advantageHBO/Bachelor's or WO/Master's degree in relevant technical field10+ years of proven experience in engineering project management within superyacht building and/or other high-complexity shipbuilding industries8+ years of proven experience in leadership and people management rolesVast track record in delivering large-scale, multidisciplinary projects, from engineering through commissioningSolid experience in leading engineering teams and managing multiple stakeholders in a high-demand environmentStrong understanding of yacht systems, engineering integration and applicable Classification Society and regulatory requirementsRobust commercial awareness, with the ability to manage risks, assess impact and support decision-making on scope, planning and costGood knowledge of MS Office applicationsGood understanding of the application and purpose of AutoCAD, Rhinoceros and CadmaticYou recognize yourself in the following competences: Helicopter view, Anticipating, Giving responsibility, Conflict managementWhat do we offer?
